Groups

Learn how to use groups to share cluster access with your team members.

What Are Groups?

Groups allow you to organize multiple users and clusters together. By adding members to a group, you can share access permissions to the assigned clusters.

Accessing Groups

The Groups feature is available from the Settings page.

  1. Click the Settings icon (gear) at the bottom of the sidebar
  2. Select the "Groups" tab

Creating a Group

  1. Open the "Groups" tab on the Settings page
  2. Click the "New Group" button
  3. Enter a group name
  4. Select the cluster(s) to assign (multiple allowed)
  5. Click "Create"

Note: You must own at least one cluster to create a group.

Managing Members

Adding Members

  1. Click on the target group in the group list
  2. Click "Add Member" in the details drawer
  3. Enter the email address of the user to add
  4. Click "Add"

Removing Members

  1. Open the group details drawer
  2. Click the remove icon next to the user in the member list
  3. Confirm by selecting "Remove" in the dialog

Sharing Clusters

Access Permissions

Group members can perform the following operations on the assigned cluster:

Cluster Assignment

A group can be assigned multiple clusters, and the assignment can be changed (added or removed) after the group is created.

Editing and Deleting Groups

Changing the Group Name

  1. Open the menu (three dots) for the target group in the group list
  2. Select "Edit Name"
  3. Enter the new group name
  4. Click "Save"

Note: Only the group owner can change the group name.

Deleting a Group

  1. Open the menu (three dots) for the target group in the group list
  2. Select "Delete"
  3. Confirm by clicking "Delete" in the dialog

Note: Deleting a group also removes members' access to the assigned cluster. Only the group owner can delete a group.
